In my view It's not a full on tablet PC and its not trying to be, if it was, the price would be twice as much for a start:-). Personally, I'm excited by the size, the increased functionality of the included apps, and possible increases in 3rd party apps without having to make a completely new app. I hope that the ability to connect with a projector is added for things like keynote, which would make this a great product for road warriors.
